Example 2 — Team B to win (Favourite), bet ৳200:
Decimal 1.50 = Fractional 1/2 = American −200. American minus odds tell you how much you need to stake to make ৳100 profit. On a ৳200 bet, total return is ৳300 (৳100 profit).
Multi bet example: three selections — odds 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.80 = 3.78. A ৳100 bet returns ৳378, but only if all three selections win. If any one loses, the full ৳100 is gone.
Live In-Play Betting — How Odds Change While the Match Is On
In-play betting is most lively in cricket — because the state of the match can change on every delivery. When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds rise immediately because their chances of winning have dropped. After a big six or four, the batting team's odds come down.
Example scenario:
50 runs needed off the last 5 overs with 7 wickets in hand — the batting team's odds are quite low. But if two wickets fall in the next over, the odds rise quickly and the bowling team's odds come down.
During Powerplay overs (especially the first 6), if runs come quickly, the batting team's momentum market odds drop sharply. In the middle overs (7–15), odds begin to settle based on the team's total and remaining wickets. In the death overs (last 5), every ball matters — a big shot or a wicket changes the odds in an instant.
In Test matches, in-play odds shift more slowly because the game lasts five days. Here, pitch conditions, weather and the state of the second innings all influence the odds.
